The Project
The Hero’s Path project combines software, chaos theory, physics modeling, game design, and little graphic art too.

The heart of this project is a software simulator called the
D3 Engine.  The game, called Hero’s Path, is simply a fun
way to test that simulator.  My goal is to develop D3 into a simulator useful to game design, artificial intelligence research, and sustainable engineering.

Project status and download links comming soon.

The Technology
The D3 Engine simulates a virtual world in remarkable detail,
and then determines actions and reactions using physics modeling.  To do it, the D3 Engine uses emergent behavior, finite-state automata, and even some chaos theory.

Technical Concept document comming soon.

The Game
Hero's Path is a computer role-playing game (CRPG) created specifically to test and exploit the D3 Engine.  The result is a game where players can leverage realistic cause & effect relationships to solve problems, and experience unprecedented freedom.

The Art
Even in this early stage of development, a lot of thought has been
put into the visuals of Hero’s Path. As a result, many conceptual drawings, renderings, and even paintings have already been created. Some of these are my own work, and some are from other team members.
